31.05.2010 FESTIVALS! Following on from the success of the Hammer & Tongue Stage at Wood Festival last weekend, we are appearing at a marvellous variety of festivals throughout the summer; please see our Festivals page for more info. 14.05.2010 There will be a special event for the June Oxford Hammer & Tongue - more details to follow shortly... 06.05.2010 Phew! That was a close one! Hammer & Tongue are very pleased to announce that Tina Sederholm succeeds Mac McFadden as the 2010 Oxford Hammer & Tongue Slam Champion. More about Tina HERE. And, in London, Curious triumphs to become the 2010 London Hammer & Tongue Slam Champion. Next up is the unstoppable, the irrepressible, Pete The Temp. 29.03.2010 The Bath Hammer & Tongue Open Slam has successfully morphed into the Bristol Hammer & Tongue Open Slam, with the inaugural event on 8th April. Hammer & Tongue has had a busy time continuing its successful work in schools and other educational venues as well as creating stages at festivals. This summer saw the launch of the LightFoot Sound System a bicycle and solar powered public address system. This has been an excellent tool for introducing kids to a creative response to climate change. It is also a brilliant way to have zero carbon entertainment at your event, workshop, festival or party. The Nail - Special Feature 'Reversing the Damage' A climate change book / CD that contains poems, photo's, drawings, prose, articles and a whole CD of amazing performance poetry and song including Will Holloway, Inflatable Buddha, Mark Browne and Seize The Day, all responding to the issue of Climate Change. The Hammer & Tongue crew are all over the country at various festivals this summer: Wood, Secret Garden Party and the Edinburgh Fringe to name but a few.
